At the age of 12 he learned his music at the Royal College of Music in London, England. Britten was born 1913 in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. Britten died in Aldehurth, Suffolk. He had an unsuccessful heart operation and died three years later. Britten was born in a middle class family. Britten moved from England to the U.S.A. He wrote operas and symphonies.
