Fusion

Chicago, initially known as Chicago Transit Authority, was formed in 1967 in the city from which it took its name. Chicago moved from a local club act to nationaly prominence quickly. Their debut album was a mix of vocals, jazz passages, and solos in a rock setting. Backing the vocals was a rock rhythm section, and trombone, trumpet, and woodwinds.
