Maynard FergusonMaynard Ferugson, a Canadian-born trumpet player and band leader, played in various big bands, most notably Stan Kenton's band, and then formed a series of his own beginning in the late 1950's. Ferguson is best known for his facility and and endurance in the high register of the trumpet.
